Google said it will clamp down on a loophole that allows big developers like Netflix and Spotify avoid paying 30% commission on in-app payments. Until now, developers have been able to side-step the 30% commission that comes with using Google's in-app payment system by getting users to enter their card details directly. Read more

The decision of the President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari, to seek the Senate approval for the appointment of Aisha Umar, as the Director General of the National Pension Commission, has caused a sharp division among senators. Sterling Bank Plc has said it is considering a new subsidiary as it transforms into a holding company. Elon Musk says he and his family won't get a coronavirus vaccine when one becomes available. Musk discussed his feelings about the virus on an episode of "Sway," a new podcast by the New York Times opinion section hosted by the journalist Kara Swisher. During their conversation for an episode published Monday, Swisher asked the Tesla CEO whether he or his family would get a COVID-19 vaccine once one became available, to which Musk said he wouldn't because he was "not at risk for COVID, nor are my kids." TStv: Nigerians can pay N2 per day for a channel
Bright Echefu, the chief executive officer of Telecomm Satellite TV (TStv), says his organisation will be the first to implement the pay-per-view model in Nigeria. Addressing journalists in Abuja on Tuesday, Echefu said TStv has over 100 channels that will be made available for as low as N2 per day and as high as N5 for a channel. Read more
