Nigeria generates N416.01 billion from Company Income Tax in Q3 2020
Nigeria generated the sum of N416.01 billion from Company Income Tax (CIT) in the third quarter of 2020. This was revealed in the Company Income Tax by Sectors report, recently released by the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS). According to the report, the total CIT generated increased by 3.48% in Q3 2020, compared to N402.03 billion recorded in the previous quarter (Q2 2020). It reduced by 20.13% compared to N520.89 billion recorded in the corresponding quarter (Q3) of 2019. Read more
Covid-19: African Union in talks with China and Russia over vaccine
The Africa Centres for Disease Control and Prevention and the African Union announced they have been in talks with China and Russia over the possibility of vaccine partnerships to ensure that Africa is not left behind when vaccines become available. LG offers free laundry services in Benin
Electronic company, LG says not less than 25,000 families in Nigeria have benefited from its free laundry services, which it started in 2018 in Lagos. The Head of Corporate Marketing Division of the company, West African operations, Hari Ellurru, made this known on Wednesday in Benin during the launch of the free laundry service scheme in the city. The Senate on Thursday, demanded additional N9bn for the Nigeria Railways Corporation in the 2021 budget. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Marine Transport, Senator Danjuma Goje, said this after submitting the 2021 budget report of the Marine Transport and Land Transport to the Senate Committee on Appropriation. Lamborghini, the luxurious car brand, was forced to withdraw an ad campaign in which young teenagers appeared in front of their opulent cars after a debate and a protest on the part of the mayor of Palermo. All of the above was due to the fact that a score of photographers had been hired to capture images with supercars throughout Italy, described as a "declaration of love" to the country. Letizia Battaglia, a famous photographer, was a participant in the project, recognized for portraying the Sicilian mafia. Read more
