Air France, Lufthansa, KLM to resume flights into Nigeria
In a tweet on Tuesday, Hadi Sirika, the minister of aviation, said Qatar Airways has also received approval to operate in Abuja. The presidential task force on COVID-19 (PTF) had restricted 10 airlines from operating in the country when international flight resumed on September 5. Read more
We’re determined to pass Petroleum Industry Bill in six months – Speaker Gbajabiamila
House of Representative Speaker, Femi Gbajabiamila has disclosed that the House would ensure that it passes the Petroleum Industry Bill within the next six months or probably less. Gbajabiamila made the statement during a meeting with the delegation of the Oil Producers Trade Section (OPTS) under the Lagos State Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). Read more
We’re not part of FG’s plan to sell national assets – Senate
The Senate has said it was not carried along in the planned arrangement by the Federal Government, through its Bureau of Public Enterprises, to either sell or concession some national assets in order to fund part of the 2021 budget. The Chairman, Senate Committee on Privatisation, Senator Theodore Orji, said this in an interview with journalists in Abuja on Tuesday. Read more
Senate asks SMEDAN to account for N298m
The Senate on Tuesday asked the Small and Medium Enterprises Agency of Nigeria to account for N298m advance payment it granted to some officials of the agency in 2013. Chairman of the Senate Public Accounts Committee, Senator Mathew Urhogbide, gave the directive while acting on the 2015 query of the Auditor General of the Federation. Read more
COVID-19: There have been no cases inside NYSC camps – NCDC
The Director-General, Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, Dr. Chikwe Ihekweazu, says there are no cases of coronavirus inside the reopened NYSC camps. He added that people going back to camp were screened and those who tested positive have been isolated away from camp. The NCDC DG disclosed this in an interview with Arise TV on Tuesday. Read more

Relevant stakeholders especially in the private sector were conspicuously absent from a public hearing organised by the House of Representatives on six executive bills on the aviation sector on Tuesday. #EndSARS: Presidency to ensure that a repeat of protests does not happen
President Muhammadu Buhari said he will ensure Nigeria does not see a repeat of the #EndSARS protests, as all stakeholders would be carried along in the future to maintain peace.
