AGS Lightbox Session: TRUST FUND BABY!
I have a friend who’s a Trust Fund baby, her dad passed in an accident when she and her siblings were toddlers. Till today, they still earn from their dad’s estate, over 20 years after.
Join us tonight by 8 pm.
Her mum structured a lawsuit settlement payout in such a way so that it paid for private school and her first car. Even when she graduated from uni in the middle of a recession, she also had more than $300,000 in an investment account. She currently receives an untaxed income of $4,000 a month and will continue forever...
How was all of this able to happen? Her mum set up a Trust Fund for her and her siblings, if not, they would have spent the money on frivolous things in the past.
We all know those instances, a rich parent passes on, next thing, the lives of the rest of the family is in shambles. A lot of times, this happens due to a lack of information.
Remember when Olamide passed, I thought this was the best thing to do for her kids so they are almost sef up for life. I used to manage an Education Trust Fund. Every year, we used proceeds from the Trust to build no less than 6 blocks of classrooms across Nigeria. The capital was NEVER TOUCHED!
Wills and Trusts protect your family whether you’re gone or not. Some people even do their charitable work through Trust Funds they set up. I particularly love Trust Funds because you can set them up for any purpose. You can even set it up in a way where you get a payout from it when you are older, and that helps you not just depend on your pension. I know a lady, in fact, an AGS Triber who told me she put 10m in a Trust Fund about 2 years ago; now she decided to take a break from full-time employment and she lives on the interest that comes from the Trust.
To discuss this very important topic, we are bringing on an absolute boss lady, Mofoluke Keshinro, @mo_kesh1 who leads the Head of Private Trust Services at FBN Quest! She’s also the first certified Trust and Estate Practitioner in Nigeria.
To be part of it, download our app for iOS or Android and upgrade to a Silver (N5,000 monthly) or Gold (N50,000 yearly).
By the way, I am not a Trust Fund Baby! LMAO! I shall beg my parents to join this session😂
