MultiChoice: Why DStv can’t implement pay-as-you-go model

Protesters campaigning against the Police Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) excesses on Monday grounded Lagos, Abuja and some major cities across the country. The protest turned violent in Lagos where two people, including a police Inspector were killed. Read more
Dangote refinery, others threaten existing plants – OPEC
New refining capacities expected to come on stream in Nigeria and other African countries in the next few years may increase pressure on existing plants on the continent, the Organisation of the Petroleum Exporting Countries has said. OPEC, in its newly released 2020 World Oil Outlook, estimated refining capacity additions between 2020 and 2025 at around 5.2 million barrels per day based on the review of announced and planned refinery projects. Buhari allocates N509b for pension liabilities
President Muhammadu Buhari has appropriated a total of N501.19 billion to offset pension liabilities in the 2021 budget proposal. He made this known during his 2021 Budget Speech: Budget of Economic Recovery and Resilience at The Joint Session of the National Assembly, Abuja last Thursday. Read more
RMAFC recovers N474m excise duty from Guinness
The Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission on Monday said it had recovered over N474m excise duty from Guinness Nigeria Plc. The Chairman of the commission, Elias Mbam, said the recovered money had been remitted into the Federation Account, as he explained that the firm initially failed to make the remittance. Read more

The singer who had gone there to protest had said that his manager, Ojah B was being tortured by the Nigerian police. Ex-BBNaija star Tacha has insisted on #EndSARS protest in Rivers amid an order by the Governor of the state, Nyesom Wike, prohibiting protests in the south-south state. In a statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Paulinus Nsirim on Monday evening, the Rivers State Governor announced that no form of #EndSARS protest will be allowed in the state.
