NCAA threatens to ban domestic flights over non-compliance with COVID-19 protocol
The Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has expressed concern over the flouting of COVID-19 protocol at airports, and has threatened to withdraw the approval granted to airlines to resume domestic flight operations. This was contained in a letter signed by Musa Nuhu, director-general of NCAA, on Monday. Read more

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has extended its investigation on alleged forex infractions to 100 companies, THISDAY is reporting. This is in addition to the 38 gaming and bureau de change companies that are already being investigated. Read more
Polaris Bank appoints Segun Opeke as executive director
According to a statement signed by Babatunde Osibodu, its company secretary, on Friday, Opeke’s appointment was made by the board of directors and the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON). Opeke’s appointment comes on the heels of Innocent Ike’s appointment as the acting managing director of the bank. Read more
WHO insists on its COVID-19 transmission guidance despite US new draft change
The World Health Organization (WHO) disclosed on Monday that it has not changed its policy on the aerosol transmission of the coronavirus disease, after United States health officials mistakenly drafted new guidance, warning that it could be transmitted through airborne particles. Read more
FG lists approved COVID-19 test centres for international travellers, to sanction airlines over non-compliance
The Federal Government has listed the approved COVID-19 test centres for international travellers. This was disclosed by the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) via its Twitter handle on Monday. Read more
Lagos helicopter crash: AIB releases preliminary report
The Accident Investigation Bureau (AIB) has issued a preliminary report on the Bell 206B III helicopter crash that occurred at Opebi, Lagos State on August 28, 2020. The report revealed that the helicopter, which was operated by Quorum Aviation Limited, had a valid Certificate of Airworthiness as the pilot’s last medical examination was valid till the 6th of August 2020. Shell to focus on Nigeria, Gulf of Mexico and others as it seeks to cut 40% of costs
Royal Dutch Shell announced that it would focus its operations on Nigeria, Gulf of Mexico, The North Sea and a few others as it looks to reduce oil and gas production costs by 40%. This was announced by Reuters in an exclusive report Monday after speaking with sources. Shell sources also reveal it would direct the saved costs into more renewable energy investments. Read more
