Diatom Impact and AGS Tribe have launched The Phoenix Support Fund, to offer financial support and capacity development to enable affected businesses recover and grow as resilient and sustainable enterprises.
Up to N500,000 will be given per selected business and we’ve made the application process very simple and straightforward.
All you need to have is:
1. Registered business (CAC Registration
2. Bank statement or Proof of tax filing or Audited accounts
3. Proof of Residence - Utility Bill (Lawma bill, light bill etc) and
4. Proof of damage during unrest)
5. Business owner ID - Voters card, Passport etc

Instagram disables its “Recent” feature
Instagram disclosed that it would remove the “Recent” tab from its hashtag pages for people in the United States of America. The social networking and video sharing service stated this on its official Twitter handle. It said it is “doing this to reduce the real-time spread of potentially harmful content that could pop up around the election.” Read more
#EndSARS: Police did not shoot protesters – IGP Adamu
The Inspector-General of Police, M.A Adamu, has said that officers of the Nigeria Police Force acted professionally and exercised commendable restraints during the protests, in a response to Amnesty International about police firing at protesters. The IG disclosed this in a statement on Friday morning, saying reports on the shooting of protesters is not true. Read more
Jaiz Bank’s directors bicker over MD’s appointment
There appears to be a brewing boardroom bickering at Jaiz Bank Plc over the tenure of the current Managing Director and the appointment of a successor. The two claimants are the current Managing Director, Mallam Hassan Usman and a new candidate, Mr. Mohammed Shaheed Khan, who was appointed by the board to succeed Usman. Read more
KLT Customs seizes N229m contraband, generates N15.8b
The fight against illicit drugs and other contraband in the country has continued to yield positive results. In one fell swoop, the Kirikiri Lighter Terminal (KLT) Command of the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) on Thursday disclosed its seizure of 16 containers loaded with different prohibited items. CBN: N75b youth fund begins with N12.5b seed capital
The Central Bank of Nigeria has said the Nigeria Youth Investment Fund will take off with N12.5 billion seed capital. In a guidelines for NIRSAL Microfinance Bank to begin the disbursement of the Fund, the apex bank said the N75 billion total cash will not be disbursed at the initial state of the intervention. Federal lawmakers, lawyers, political scientists, parties and members of the civil society organisations have set agenda for the chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Professor Mahmood Yakubu, following his reappointment. To strengthen the electoral process, they urged Yakubu who got the nod of President Muhammadu Buhari for a second term on Tuesday to embark on critical reforms that would minimise the hiccups bedeviling elections in the country, including rigging, votes buying and apathy. After running it as a series on Instagram Live, Public Eye, a talk by media great Funmi Iyanda will debut on television on Sunday, November 1, 2020. Iyanda first debuted the show on Instagram Live in May to focus on the Covid-19 pandemic, asking "the right questions of the right people". Read more
