Airspace to be shut as aviation unions join NLC strike
In a statement on Friday, the unions directed workers in the aviation sector to withdraw their services from Monday, September 28. This means that the airspace may not be open for operations on Monday. The four unions joining the strike are the National Union of Air Transport Employees, National Association of Aircraft Pilots and Engineers, Air Transport Services Senior Staff Association of Nigeria and the Association of Nigeria Aviation Professionals. Paga Group has redomiciled from Mauritius to the United Kingdom (UK). The group is the holding company for its operations in Nigeria, México, Ethiopia, and the UK. This was disclosed by the Chief Executive Officer and founder, Paga, Tayo Oviosu on Friday. Read more
WHO endorses emergency use of China’s COVID-19 vaccine
The World Health Organization (WHO) has endorsed the plans by China to start administering experimental coronavirus vaccines to people while clinical trials are still underway. This disclosure was made by a Chinese Health Commission official, Zheng Zhongwei, during a news conference on Friday, September 25, 2020. Read more

Concession: N1bn loan spent to repair airports, says minister
Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has said that N1bn was borrowed from the Chinese for the concession of the airports. Speaking at a webinar organised by the Nigerian Economic Summit Group on Thursday, he said that the compliance certificate for the concession of the nation’s airports has been received. Read more
Wikipedia due to get its first substantial website redesign in a decade
For the first time in 10 years, one of the internet's most-widely used resource websites will be getting a substantial new look. "While Wikipedia's content has grown rapidly, our interface has not kept pace," wrote Olga Vasileva, a project manager at the Wikimedia Foundation, in a blog post announcing the changes. Read more
