Have You Ever Heard of Shoonomics?
What does Schoonomics even mean?!
Getting the kids back to school on a budget. .
This is the top conversation in every mom group right now. As exciting as it is to get them back on a schedule, the cost of back to school shopping is NOT FUNNY!
A lot has changed over the years, and rising inflation has hit every single item on your back-to-school list. We know .
So we came up with a few recommendations for you, our Herconomy community Parents, to get the kids back to school on a budget;
First; Take stock of school items and accessories such as uniforms, socks, shoes, bags still in good conditions. As the saying goes; ‘if it’s not broke, don’t fix it.’ This excludes school uniforms with holes and brown patches . No one wants disgrace on the first day of school
2. Make a list and stick to it. Use the list recommended by the school. You can use this free school shopping list to ensure all the details are covered.
Resist the temptation to buy 'cheap', because of your budget. Remember; quality and brand loyalty matters, so you're not replacing everything in 3 weeks.
Reduce quantities if you must, but never compromise on quality school supplies for the kids.
Finally; shop at a customer-friendly store with a wide variety of choice so you are not stuck with wrong purchases.
For our Herconomy parents, we highly recommend SKIT Stores this season.
With branches in Lagos, Abuja and Port Harcourt, and online shopping options, you are pretty covered.
Even better, SKIT Store is offering a 5% discount to the Herconomy community this season.
